Who are AESC?
Created in Japan in 2007 as a joint venture between the Japanese groups Nissan (automobile) and NEC (computer and electronics), the company AESC (Automotive Energy Supply Corporation) deploys its expertise in the development and production of lithium-ion batteries high performance for electric vehicles. Since 2010, the company has notably produced the batteries for the Nissan LEAF (a 100% electric vehicle assembled in Japan, England, and the United States). In 2018, AESC was acquired by the Envision group. AESC’s capital is currently 80% owned by Envision and 20% by Nissan.
AESC is a global player specialising in the production of batteries, with more than 600,000 equipped vehicles and 5 battery factories around the world (Japan, England, United States, and 2 in China). AESC's head office is based in Japan.
Over the years, AESC has innovated in the technologies used for the manufacturing of its batteries and has developed its own quality control system to guarantee the conformity of the cells and modules integrated into the batteries.
