Purpose of the Role

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of large-scale 110–400 kV transmission line projects across Finland. The role focuses on full project ownership – from tendering and planning to execution and financial close-out – ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in close collaboration with customers and partners.

Ideally, you will be located near one of the following Eltel offices: Espoo, Pirkkala, Seinäjoki, or Kempele.

Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the financial, operational, and contractual delivery of assigned large-scale transmission line projects

• Leading and coordinating the project organisation, including site managers, internal specialists, designers, and subcontractors

• Overseeing procurement activities together with Eltel’s procurement organisation, including international sourcing of materials such as steel structures and conductors

• Monitoring project progress, costs, risks, quality, safety, and environmental performance

• Ensuring accurate project reporting, forecasting, and invoicing

• Participating in tendering and cost estimation, ideally also executing projects you have helped to win

• Maintaining close cooperation with customers such as transmission system operators, regional grid companies, and renewable energy developers

• Acting as Eltel’s representative in site meetings, progress meetings, and supplier audits

• Ensuring compliance with HSE regulations and Eltel’s safety culture

We hope you have

• A relevant Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, for example, in electrical engineering or civil/infrastructure engineering

• Solid experience from large-scale infrastructure projects, ideally EPC-type projects

• Background in transmission lines, power infrastructure, or heavy civil/infrastructure construction

• Understanding of construction processes such as earthworks, foundations, steel structures, and line installation

• Understanding of project management methods or applicable education in project management

• Ability to independently take ownership of complex projects

• Leadership mentality - ability to lead project teams

• Fluency in Finnish and English, both written and spoken

• Willingness to travel (approx. 5 days per month) within Finland and occasionally abroad (e.g. Europe or Asia for supplier inspections or material acceptance)
