Purpose
As a Financial Controller, your key purpose is to ensure accurate financial management, statutory compliance, and insightful reporting to support Neoen’s operations in Finland. You will act as the financial bridge between local teams, external partners, and the Group, contributing to strong internal controls, budgeting, and financial performance.


Responsibilities
Financial Procedures and Compliance:

• Coordinate financial information between local business teams and external accounting partners, ensuring seamless collaboration.
• Manage invoice processing and payments with precision.
• Conduct rigorous controls over accounting operations, including invoicing and receivables monitoring.
• Ensure accuracy in annual financial statements, adhering to local GAAPs.
• Play a key role in external audits for both statutory requirements and group purposes.
• Contribute insights and support the implementation of internal controls.
  

Budgeting and Reporting:

• Assist in preparing budgets and forecasts, with ongoing monthly updates on construction budgets and cash positions.
• Analyze variances between actuals, forecasts, and budgets to optimise financial performance.
• Prepare monthly reports, cash flow forecasts, and semi-annual consolidation packages (P&L, CAPEX, cash flow) in compliance with Group procedure.

Tax Management:

• Ensure rigorous control over local tax returns prepared by external accountants.
• Provide input on tax aspects within financial models.

Background & Requirements

• A degree in Finance and approximately 5 years of experience in audit or financial roles, ideally within a multinational environment.
• Expertise in the energy industry is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills, autonomy, and reliability.
• Proficiency in Finnish GAAP standards, Finnish taxes, and reporting/budgeting.
• Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English (written and spoken).
• Proactive and solution-oriented with a strong business sense and a passion for working in a multicultural environment.
