OX2 | Senior Procurement Manager
We are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager who will be responsible for the procurement of all equipment and services needed for the construction of a solar PV plants at OX2.

Purpose
A Senior Procurement Manager Solar PV is a team member of the procurement team and is overall responsible for the procurement of all equipment, especially panels, converters, trackers and services needed for the construction of a solar PV plant, covering setups of multi-contracting as well as bundling packages and working with EPC contractors.
The SPM is a vital part of the project team and will be the one handling the main negotiations with all suppliers and contractors in the project. The SPM is responsible for handling the internal contact with the Project Engineer (PE), Construction Project Manager (CPM), Transaction Project Manager (TPM), Development, and Legal advisors and decide upon the strategy, negotiation, commercial topics and risk management of the contracts and the procurement process.
The majority of your responsibilities will fall on the Realisation phase of the project but you will also be involved in other phases of the project.
Responsibilities:
Realisation phase:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies, including bundling projects for cost efficiency.
- Plan, negotiate, and finalize all contracts, including services and insurance.
- Collaborate with engineering, construction, and legal teams to manage procurement and mitigate risks.
- Align with stakeholders, including end investors, on procurement needs and deliverables.
- Conduct supplier evaluations, ESG compliance checks, and risk analyses.
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize costs and schedules.
Development phase:
- Provide budget assumptions and technical input during project development.
Construction phase:
- Support construction management, addressing claims and legal issues.
- Manage insurance claims and capture lessons learned for future projects
Operational Phase:
- Support defect liability management and capture insights for contract improvements.
- Update pricing and cost databases.
Non-Project Procurement Responsibilities:
- Evolve procurement processes and contract templates to increase efficiency.
- Monitor changes in laws, maintain supplier relationships, and evaluate new suppliers.
- Conduct market intelligence and monitor supplier quality and compliance.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive cost database.
Background and Requirements:
- Expertise in the solar PV industry and its main players main contractors in the European field.
- Experience in Contract negotiations and management.
- Experience in different types of construction and supply contracts (e.g. FIDIC, ABA, etc.).
- Knowledge of procuring Construction Works of Civil, Electrical Works and solar PV.
- Understanding of claim management.
