Purpose
AESC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Procurement Process and Systems Specialist to join their team in either Paris or Douai, France. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation and development of internal procurement processes and systems, as well as assisting with operational procurement tasks for the European Centre of Excellence. This role is integral to enhancing their procurement strategy and ensuring efficient procurement operations.
Responsibilities
As part of the Procurement Centre of Excellence, you will provide support for strategic procurement activities, including spend analysis, detailed savings analysis, and sourcing process development and execution across four main procurement towers: direct materials, sourced finished goods, indirect services, and logistics/transportation. This role involves extensive information gathering, data consolidation, and data refinement activities. Additionally, you will support the macro-level analysis of procurement-related activities at a European level to advance the procurement strategic vision.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and act as a steward of the AESC’s Strategic EU Sourcing Process.
- Actively participate in the ideation process to enhance procurement strategies and processes.
- Navigate seamlessly throughout the organization during data gathering and analysis activities.
- Assist members of the Procurement and Category Sourcing groups in analyzing data to support shared objectives and drive strategy.
- Provide analytical, process, and strategic support to the Procurement function to maximize the delivery of value across AESC’s diverse product categories.
- Support strategic procurement activities, including spend analysis, detailed savings analysis, and sourcing development and execution across four main procurement areas (Direct Materials, Sourced Finished Goods, Indirect Services, Logistics/Transportation).
- Conduct significant amounts of information gathering, data consolidation, and data refinement activities.
- Support complex data analysis, including scenario analysis and developing supplier award recommendations.
Background & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related area, with a focus on process and systems implementation.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to navigate and collaborate across different departments within an organization.
- Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Fluency in English and French, ideally also in Chinese.
