AESC is currently in search of a highly skilled CAPEX Contract Manager to join their team for a groundbreaking Engineering-Procurement-Construction project. Responsibilities
- Contractor Oversight:
- Oversee contractors' performance
- Equipment and Bulks Purchasing Strategy
- Develop procurement strategies
- Draft purchase and material management plan
- Stress test strategies against best practices
- Implement worldwide/regional/country agreements
- Logistics:
- Develop delivery plan
- Coordinate freight and permits
- Monitor item delivery
- Expedite vendors falling behind
- Identify sourcing efficiencies
- Negotiate and issue purchase orders
- Purchasing:
- Identify potential vendors
- Pre-qualify vendors
- Interface with central procurement
- Issue RFQs and purchase orders
- Support closeout process
- Manage commodity spend
- Participate in claim resolution
- Prepare bid evaluations and recommendations
Background and Requirements
- Master's degree in Engineering or another relavent field of education
- Minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience, preferably in MEP, Construction, or Facilities for large industrial projects ($100m+ CAPEX).
- Additional experience in project controls or construction management is preferred.
- Experience in the hi-tech, construction, and/or automotive industries is a plus.
- Proficiency in strategic sourcing, opportunity analyses, and contract negotiations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power BI.
- Able to thrive in a high-performance, cross-functional environment with challenging timelines and goals.
- Demonstrates curiosity and an open attitude toward exploring new ideas and a commitment to continuous learning.
- Capable of training and mentoring colleagues on project management best practices.
- Possession of a valid driver's license.
- Fluent in English. French and Spanish would be of value but not a requirement.

Work at a world-class and innovative Gigafactoryy
AESC is investing almost two billion euros to build a battery manufacturing plant in the Hauts-de-France Region. The new Douai site will have a production capacity of 9GWh in 2024, with the potential to reach 24GWh by 2030 to produce state-of-the-art, low-carbon batteries. The site will initially supply the Renault factory which will be increasingly dedicated to producing the brand’s electric vehicles.
