AESC is seeking a Project Finance Director for the European region to lead international project financing efforts, ensuring the achievement of fundraising targets, developing financing strategies, maintaining global financial institution relationships, fostering executive-level partnerships, enhancing investor relations, and managing risk for operational business units. This position will report to the group CFO.

Responsibilities
- Develop international project financing plans and achieve fundraising targets. Plan international project financing strategies, control reasonable financial costs, and adjust financing or credit schemes promptly according to the company's business needs.
- Expand and maintain global financial institution resources, aligning with the global business layout. Regularly engage and build key relationships with influential figures, promoting strategic cooperation at the executive level.
- Maintain daily relations with external investors, enhance communication effectiveness, strengthen mutual trust and recognition, increase transparency, and improve governance. Responsible for regulatory compliance and system development for information disclosure.
- Identify annual risk issues and assumptions for operational business units and implement early risk intervention and mitigation measures.
Background & Requirements
- Extensive Experience: A minimum of 10 years in international commercial banking, with ideally a deep understanding of the new energy industry and related policies.
- A proven track record in planning and leading large-scale project financing, along with a strong grasp of financial markets and the ability to expand financial institution networks.
- Proficiency in corporate operations and management systems, including expertise in various financial products, cash flow planning, and management.
- Financial Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in mature financial management, comprehensive knowledge of the corporate financing process, and a solid understanding of legal regulations.
- Competency in macroeconomic analysis, integrated capital investment and financing planning, and adeptness in financial risk management.
- Communication and Collaboration: Strong internal and external communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across cultures and organisations.
- Sharp analytical and judgement skills. Upholds strong professional ethics.
- Languages: Proficiency in English is required. Additional language skills, particularly in Chinese or European languages, are considered advantageous but not mandatory.

Work at a world-class and innovative Gigafactoryy
AESC is investing almost two billion euros to build a battery manufacturing plant in the Hauts-de-France Region. The new Douai site will have a production capacity of 9GWh in 2024, with the potential to reach 24GWh by 2030 to produce state-of-the-art, low-carbon batteries. The site will initially supply the Renault factory which will be increasingly dedicated to producing the brand’s electric vehicles.
