Purpose of the Role

As Project Director – Data Centers, you hold overall responsibility for the commercial, financial, and operational performance of large-scale data center projects. You act as the primary owner of customer relationships and ensure projects are delivered profitably, safely, and in full compliance with contractual and company requirements.

The role offers a flexible location. Most projects are based in Southern, Western, Eastern, or Central Finland. Ideally, you are located near one of Eltel Network’s offices, which are spread across the country, to facilitate collaboration and site visits.

Responsibilities of the role:

• Lead and develop project organizations, ensuring the right competencies and resources are in place.

• Act as the owner of customer relationships for assigned projects.

• Hold accountability for all sales agreements and contractual commitments related to the project.

• Drive profitable additional sales and proactive improvements to project schedules.

• Ensure compliance with PMP, HSSEQ, and Eltel governance frameworks.

• Oversee project schedules and actively pursue initiatives to accelerate progress where possible.

• Lead risk and opportunity management throughout the project lifecycle.

• Ensure professional procurement processes and strong supplier partnerships.

• Monitor and optimize project profitability, including net sales and EBITA.

You are a senior project leader with strong commercial acumen and experience managing complex, high-value projects. You are confident leading large teams, engaging with senior customer stakeholders, and driving both operational excellence and long-term profitability.

• Extensive experience in project or program leadership roles.

• Strong customer and stakeholder management skills.

• Solid understanding of contracts, risk management, and commercial governance.

• A proactive, strategic, and business-oriented mindset.
