Nordblock is hiring a Data Center Development & Operations Management Lead

to drive its growth in digital infrastructure and data center space across Finland, the Nordics, and beyond.

In this role, you’ll combine business development, project structuring, and operational delivery, taking opportunities from initial concept through to commissioning and ongoing management. Nordblock is looking for someone with proven experience in data center development, operations or construction and a solid understanding of large-scale infrastructure, and the commercial acumen to deliver scalable, profitable projects.

As Nordblock continues to scale internationally, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the strategy, lead key projects, and strengthen an already active and growing business line with large-scale developments both operational and in progress. Nordblock already has several megawatts in operation and a pipeline exceeding 1 GW of digital infrastructure projects, providing a strong foundation for growth and delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Build and nurture relationships with data center owners, co-location providers, hyperscale operators, and infrastructure investors.
• Identify and develop pilot projects for digital infrastructure and data center integration, managing the full lifecycle from concept to operation.
• Structure commercial and technical agreements aligned with client requirements and financing considerations.
• Leverage your understanding of data center systems (power infrastructure, cooling, UPS, control systems) to strengthen value propositions.
• Oversee early-stage projects, including design coordination, procurement, contracts, and minor claims, escalating major issues when required.
• Shape the go-to-market strategy and establish Nordblock’s position within the digital infrastructure and data center ecosystem.
• Lay the groundwork for building and leading a dedicated team as the pipeline expands.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in data center development or operations, ideally having participated in the design, development, or construction of data centers or other large-scale digital infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of large-scale infrastructure management and related commercial and operational processes.
• A strong professional network within the data center, infrastructure, or energy sectors, with the ability to initiate pilot projects and partnerships.
• Familiarity with digital infrastructure trends, including AI, HPC, and Cloud environments.
• Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to assess risks, negotiate contracts, and manage project finances effectively.
