Purpose

As an Electrical Project Manager, you will focus on acting as the expert in medium voltage systems mainly for solar and battery energy storage projects. You will oversee the end-to-end delivery of client projects, from the design and planning phases to execution and handover, ensuring smooth progression through site visits and technical oversight. Additionally, you will actively participate in preparing quotations for the projects, performing calculations, and managing client contracts.

A significant part of your role will involve driving new business opportunities by collaborating with the team and engaging in client discussions, turning them into successful business cases. You will also contribute to improving OKQ8 Solar and Energy Solutions' services and offerings in photovoltaics, battery energy storage solutions, energy management systems, and EV charging solutions, with a focus on enhancing the company’s presence in Finland, Sweden and Denmark.

Responsibility

• Responsible for acting as a Project Manager and expert in medium voltage within solar and battery energy storage projects.
• Managing and delivering client projects from design and planning phases to execution and handover.
• Performing site visits to ensure the projects are progressing smoothly.
• Participate in preparing quotations for EPC projects, doing project calculations and handling client contracts.
• Overseeing technical details to drive new business together with the team.
• Improving and developing OKQ8 Solar and Energy Solutions' offering, products and services in Solar, BESS, EMS, and EV charging Solutions.
• Be involved and support sales in discussions with clients and with the help of the team turn them into successful business cases.
• Work together with your team to drive a successful business.
  

Background and requirements

• An Electrical Engineering degree.
• Expertise in medium voltage (design, protection, measurement, commissioning).
• Previous work experience as an Electrical Project Manager, ideally in the energy sector.
• Experience in creating project quotations and doing project calculations.
• Knowledge in SJV2019.
• Experience and/or knowledge of energy storage systems is an advantage.
• Readiness to travel occasionally, mostly within Finland.
