AESC is looking to recruit Electrical Inspection Engineers to join our European Engineering Centre and ensure the highest quality standards in battery cell electrical performance. This role is vital for supporting the precision and reliability of our manufacturing processes as we expand operations across Europe. Flexibility to travel between remote and site-based locations is essential.
The Electrical Inspection Engineer will work closely with engineering and quality teams to perform advanced electrical testing, maintain inspection tools, and troubleshoot issues to guarantee compliance with strict quality standards. This position plays a key role in the commissioning and operational phases of new gigafactories.
Responsibilities:
- Perform critical tests, including open-circuit voltage (OCV), laminar potential measurement (LPM), and internal resistance measurement (IRM).
- Document electrical inspection results and compare against quality standards.
- Calibrate and maintain electrical inspection tools and machinery.
- Identify and address potential electrical inconsistencies or issues.
Qualifications:
- Expertise in electrical testing and metrology.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Experience working with high-tech battery systems.
Background and Requirements
- Hands-on experience with electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized tools for measuring open-circuit voltage (OCV), laminar potential measurement (LPM), and internal resistance measurement (IRM).
- Previous work in battery manufacturing, quality assurance, or a high-tech electrical industry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with high-voltage testing or other precision inspection processes.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in calibration and maintenance of electrical inspection tools.
- Knowledge of electrical inspection protocols and quality standards.
- Ability to interpret and document test data to ensure compliance with manufacturing specifications.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and battery cell performance metrics.
- Troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving inconsistencies or defects in electrical parameters.
