AESC | Document Control Manager
AESC is seeking to hire a Document Control Manager for their Project Performance Centre. The Document Control Manager will play a critical role in maintaining the integrity, accessibility, and compliance of documentation throughout a project's lifecycle. This role can be location in either Madrid, Paris, or Sunderland and would include travel to sites.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and update a Documentation Management system, including developing processes, procedures, and instructions, within the company portfolio according to the team requirements and aligned with the overall strategic plan.
- Develop a functional detailed strategic plan including resources, continuous improvement, and supporting the company goals.
- Ensuring the earned value concept in all the document control activities.
- Consider the stakeholders’ requirements in the new Documentation Management system.
- Adopt and update the document management system to fulfil and meet the different projects’ requirements in different regions.
- Ensure that the document control system is available and up to date in the local units that can be used for documentation and communication handling for individual projects and the portfolio stakeholders.
- Oversee and monitor the complete projects documentation, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Participate with the relevant information in the project reporting and the portfolio reporting.
- Deploy and maintain the best practices of the documentation system at the project and portfolio levels, including providing training for the involved team members.
- Manage document translation, record management, and archiving following internal instructions and industrialization rules.
- Support the project management with the required information to make educated decisions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant cyber security regulations, standards, and contractual requirements to secure the documentation management system.
- Register feedback and comments on the documentation updates and take corrective actions in cooperation with the projects.
- Collaborate in preparing the project closing report and summarizing lessons learned for feedback to the organization relevant to document management.
Background and Requirements
- At least 15 years of experience in CAPEX project management, including document management: preferably in Automotive or High-tech industries.
- Project management background, tailored to the complexity at the Program /Project/Portfolio levels.
- Extensive experience with digital document management systems like Oracle Aconex, Documentum, BIM document management.
- SAP, P6 and Contractual terms knowledge are highly recommended.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fostering effective teamwork.
- Proficient in clear reporting and skilled at multitasking.
- Willingness to undertake business travels of approx. 30%.
- Capacity to operate on a project site or corporate office basis.
- Proficiency in English.

Work at a world-class and innovative Gigafactoryy
AESC is investing almost two billion euros to build a battery manufacturing plant in the Hauts-de-France Region. The new Douai site will have a production capacity of 9GWh in 2024, with the potential to reach 24GWh by 2030 to produce state-of-the-art, low-carbon batteries. The site will initially supply the Renault factory which will be increasingly dedicated to producing the brand’s electric vehicles.
