Responsibilities
Time management
- Developing, updating, and maintaining valid & reliable schedules that ensure delivering the assigned projects on time and cost according to the PPC and industry standards.
- Develop reliable and resource-loaded schedules with coordination between the project management team and the project stakeholders.
- Ensure the schedules’ quality, logic, and applicability according to the PPC standards and industry standards.
Cost management
- Implement a robust cost management program for assigned project(s).
- Cash Flow preparation and update.
- Provide forecasts for project completion with anticipated man-hours and resources to facilitate the cost forecasting process.
Risk management
- Work with the key stakeholders to identify project risks and lead the contingency management process.
- Regular project SWOT analysis and early risk identification by suggesting mitigation plans and scenarios.
Claim management.
- In case of delays, continuous monitoring of the project delay by analyzing the delay reason, owner, and impacts.
- In case of claims, confirm the claims’ reliability and validity according to the PPC and industry standards.
Project Management
- Change Management: Implement and follow change management procedures within in-scope projects.
- Deliver a full planning package monthly containing all the required reports and documents to present the status of the in-scope projects.
- Ensure the alignment between the project’s objectives and AESC targets.
- Confirm the required performance quality of all the projects’ stakeholders.
Background and Requirements
- +10 years of experience in CAPEX project management, including planning/scheduling, cost control, change management: preferably in Automotive or High-tech industries.
- Ability to lead project controls effort within an operational area of the business to meet organizational objectives.
- Comprehensive understanding of Work & Cost Breakdown Structure and project Coding structures and ability to implement cost management work processes on projects.
- Significant experience in schedule setup, baselining, monitoring, and controlling large-scale projects across all phases.
- Comprehensive understanding of risk and change management.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability in a cross-functional environment.
- Advanced Power Platform, Microsoft Excel, and P6 capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and French).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Be capable of working in a close, multi-faceted team environment.
- Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and a willingness to learn continuously.

AESC is investing almost two billion euros to build a battery manufacturing plant in the Hauts-de-France Region. The new Douai site will have a production capacity of 9GWh in 2024, with the potential to reach 24GWh by 2030 to produce state-of-the-art, low-carbon batteries. The site will initially supply the Renault factory which will be increasingly dedicated to producing the brand’s electric vehicles.
