Purpose
AESC is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support international growth throughout Europe. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing a range of HR functions in the European region, including international recruitment, employee relations, HR administration, compensation, compliance, and payroll. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations across multiple European countries while supporting the organization's overall HR objectives
Responsibilities
International Recruitment:
- Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and create job descriptions.
- Work with external suppliers to conduct candidate sourcing, screening, and selection processes for positions across Europe.
- Coordinate interviews, assessment tests, and reference checks.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires.
- Stay updated on best practices in international recruitment.
Employee Relations:
- Foster positive employee relations by addressing concerns and inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist in resolving workplace conflicts and performance-related issues.
- Support employee engagement initiatives and communication efforts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
HR Administration:
- Maintain employee records, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.
- Handle employee inquiries related to HR policies and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Support the organization's performance management process.
- Generate HR reports and maintain HR documentation.
Compensation:
- Assist in designing and implementing compensation and benefits programs in compliance with local regulations.
- Conduct salary benchmarking and analysis to ensure competitive and fair compensation.
- Administer bonus and incentive programs.
- Address compensation-related inquiries and discrepancies.
Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations in various European countries.
- Stay informed about changes in labor laws and regulations and adapt HR practices accordingly.
- Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address HR-related compliance issues.
Payroll:
- Administer and oversee payroll processing for employees in various European countries.
- Ensure accurate and timely salary payments, deductions, and tax compliance.
- Address payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- Collaborate with finance to reconcile payroll data.
- Keep informed of payroll regulations and changes in European countries.
Background and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in HR roles with a focus on international recruitment, employee relations, compensation, compliance, HR administration, and payroll in a multi-country context.
- Solid understanding of German and European employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
- Familiarity with various payroll systems and software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Adaptability and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
- Professional proficiency in German and English. Additional languages such as French, Spanish, or Chinese would also be of interest.
