AESC | Purchasing Manager

Overall purpose of role:
The overall purpose of the Indirect Commodity Buyer is to support the local EAFR Purchasing organization in managing procurement activities (planning, sourcing, tender and negotiation) for local indirect categories (FM/MRO/Utilities…) in AESC Douai to optimize savings and reduce risks with suppliers.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and EU/central purchasing organizations.
- Support EU Purchasing leaders with contract negotiation
- Manage a dedicated purchasing portfolio including, contract negotiations, contribution to annual savings targets and management of Invitation to Tenders and Request for Quotations.
- Manage / Administer Purchase Orders
- Support Purchasing Manager with implementation of European Purchasing policies
- Support Purchasing Project Management activity in local indirect categories
Pre-requisites – Job specific skills and functional / technical knowledge
- Formal/Professional Education Purchasing/Procurement degree/CIPs foundation is desirable
- Experience Purchasing Processes and Procedures Supplier Management Negotiation skills Project Management skills Extensive experience in Indirect purchasing (5 – 10 years)
- IT Skills Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, SAP
- Foreign Language must have: English/French C1 level Nice to have: Chinese
