Roll Press and Jig Engineers
AESC is looking to recruit Roll Press and Jig Engineers to join our European Engineering Centre and play a vital role in ensuring the precision and quality of battery electrode production. This position is essential to maintaining manufacturing excellence and supporting the launch and operation of our advanced gigafactories. Flexibility to travel between remote and site-based locations is essential.
The Roll Press and Jig Engineer will collaborate with production teams to operate and maintain roll press machinery, set up jigs, and conduct quality checks on battery components. This role is integral to ensuring uniformity and adherence to strict quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Operate roll press machinery to ensure precise compression of electrode layers.
- Set up and calibrate pressurization jigs for optimal performance.
- Conduct quality checks to maintain uniformity and thickness of battery components.
- Maintain and troubleshoot roll press equipment as needed.
Qualifications:
- Mechanical engineering experience or relevant manufacturing skills.
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery and conducting quality assurance.
- Ability to follow detailed operational procedures.
Background and Requirements
- Proven experience in mechanical engineering or manufacturing operations, particularly with heavy machinery.
- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining roll press machinery or similar industrial equipment.
- Previous work in battery manufacturing or high-precision industries is a plus
- Proficiency in setting up and calibrating jigs and fixtures for precision manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and their maintenance.
- Familiarity with quality control processes, including measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers) and techniques to ensure component uniformity.
- Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints and operational procedures.
- Experience working and leading a team across cultural and disciplinary boundaries
- Fluency in French and English.
