AESC | Aging Process Specialist (High and Normal Temperatures)
AESC is looking to recruit an Aging Process Specialist (High and Normal Temperatures) to join our European Engineering Centre and ensure optimal battery performance through advanced aging process management. This role is critical to supporting the lifecycle and reliability of battery cells as we expand our gigafactory operations across Europe. Flexibility to travel to remote and site-based locations is essential.
The Aging Process Specialist will work closely with engineering and quality teams to monitor and optimise high-temperature and normal-temperature aging processes. This role involves analysing performance data and implementing system improvements to ensure the highest standards in battery lifecycle performance.
Responsibilities:
- Manage high-temperature and normal-temperature aging processes for batteries.
- Monitor temperature conditions and aging durations to ensure optimal cell performance.
- Record and analyse data to assess battery lifecycle performance.
- Troubleshoot aging systems and recommend improvements.
Qualifications:
- Background in materials science or electrochemistry.
- Familiarity with temperature-sensitive equipment and processes.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret aging performance data.
Background and Requirement
- Proven experience managing temperature-controlled processes in a manufacturing or research environment.
- Hands-on experience with aging systems and battery lifecycle testing.
- Prior work in battery manufacturing or materials testing is highly desirable.
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience managing temperature-controlled processes in a manufacturing or research environment.

- Strong knowledge of thermal management systems and their impact on materials and battery cell performance.
- Proficiency in operating, calibrating, and maintaining aging chambers and other temperature-sensitive equipment.
- Analytical skills to interpret data from aging performance tests and identify anomalies or trends.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with aging equipment or processes.
- Understanding of battery cell chemistry and the effects of high and normal temperature cycles on product quality and durability.
- Fluency in French and English.
