AESC is hiring a Senior Project Estimation Engineer to work with a gigafactory project.

Expertise in project controls and time/schedule management is required preferably within complex EPC projects such as Data Centre / Battery or associated sectors.
Accurately estimate project time and costs by analyzing various factors and ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
Determine cost and time estimate targets during the design and development process, recommending cost effective solutions.
Gather proposals, specifications and related documents and liaise with stakeholders to convert specifications to cost estimates for new and current projects.
Analyze supplier quotes and provide information and data, which aids communications with suppliers and customers and achieves cost optimization.
Develop project benchmark timelines, based on historical data and parametric methods considering all relevant variables, to facilitate effective project planning and execution.
Establish and maintain a comprehensive historical data center, utilizing past project information for accurate validation of schedules and budgets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and ensure comprehensive understanding of project requirements.
Ability to balance multiple projects executed in multiple locations and by multiple contractors.
Work with key stakeholders to identify project risks, and lead the contingency management process
Background and Requirements
Have at least 10 years of experience on similar projects ($100m+ capex)
Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
Experience in change management, time and cost estimating, cost control, and pre-construction services: preferably in industrial, manufacturing, and/or high-tech industries
Knowledge of construction estimating resources
Understanding of the use of norms & and productivity measures
Proven experience in project cost estimation and timeline estimation.
Expert in cost estimation, controlling, and time scheduling applications like SAP, Candy and Primavera P6, or similar.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
Be capable of working in a close, multi-faceted team environment.
Have an inquisitive and open attitude to exploring new ideas and a willingness to continuously learn
Ability to train and mentor colleagues on best practices for project management and execution

AESC is investing almost two billion euros to build a battery manufacturing plant in the Hauts-de-France Region. The new Douai site will have a production capacity of 9GWh in 2024, with the potential to reach 24GWh by 2030 to produce state-of-the-art, low-carbon batteries. The site will initially supply the Renault factory which will be increasingly dedicated to producing the brand’s electric vehicles.
