Location: Europe

The Position: Supply Planner

  • This role is managing & executing the Factory planning process at SKU level to ensure participation/alignment/ execution of the agreed production plan cross the European supply network.
  • Key objective is to plan and execute the weekly supply planning process for finish goods products, at factory level, together with all cross functions involved for the European region, to ensure timely execution of the agreed Master Production Schedule (MPS). Further, this role supports any supply scenario definition for the Pre-S&OP process.
  • This position is part of the supply planning function which is part of the Sales & Operation Planning (S&OP) function.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Execute the weekly production plan (MPS) for the PLI factories at SKU level in full synchronization with the factory teams
  • Support of the monthly supply planning process (full supply network) to ensure a timely execution of the whole S&OP process in an integrated way. This includes rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP), Master Production Scheduling (MPS), Material Requirement Planning (MRP) and Distribution Requirement Planning (DRP).
  • Facilitate the factory set-up together with the factory managers, direct and indirect purchasing, HR to ensure the execution of the agreed production plan
  • Analyze, synchronize with the factories and evaluate possible supply scenarios for any supply issues
  • Monitor and initiate/execute improvements on supply planning/operations related KPI’s as direct measurement of the effectiveness of the supply planning process
  • Set-up, manage, execute and contribute improvement projects which are linked directly to S&OP as well as not S&OP related matters
  • Support the budget process and long-term planning from a supply planning perspective

Key Challenges:

  • Preparation and execution of the monthly supply planning meetings at factory level
  • Execute weekly review meetings with all factories to monitor the plan execution and to highlight differences versus the plan to the organization
  • Weekly definition and updates of production orders and the upload of the agreed MPS into the ERP system (SAP ECC) rolling for 12 weeks at SKU level
  • Support the definition of the monthly Rough-Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP), Master Production Schedule (MPS), Material Requirement Planning (MRP) for 18 month rolling in synchronization of the expected demand and inventory profile
  • Support the definition of supply scenarios to ensure production/supply in case of supply constraints as part of the Pre S&OP process in alignment with the demand and the inventory planning function
  • To contribute and interact with the product management for the new product launches
  • Follow-up of product phase in and product phase-out for finish good, raw and pack material
  • Contribution of product / SKU rationalizations together with marketing
  • KPI follow-up, improvement actions definition & execution
  • Interface to Demand and Inventory Planning to ensure integrated planning activities
  • Follow-up of agreed actions out of the different meetings
  • Communicate internally with almost all internal functions like Sales, Marketing, Operations, Logistics, R&T, Finance, HR

Qualifications & Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations/ Engineering/ Supply chain equivalent from a recognized University

Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Minimum 2 years of supply planning or supply chain planning experience of similar industry, process experience in manufacturing from Lubricants, ideal shop floor experience
  • Proven stakeholder management experience at all kind of level of Operations
  • People Management - able to interact with senior stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Excellent communication skills, effective interpersonal skills, and the ability to work with personnel at all organizational levels. 
  • Analytical thinking to define the “best” solution cross the supply process chain and problem-solving attitude
  • SAP knowledge requested in the area of SD, MM, PP
