The Position: Sales Manager Finland

Manage the Business Development of the company in Finland, according to the business plan of the company. The candidate will be the key person expanding the business in the Auto segment by landing new accounts/distributors in the country. Provide know-how and support to generate new customers for the existing distributors, build direct relationships with them and grow the company’s share in their customer’s assortment. Coordinate and support sales and marketing activities provided to or designed by distributors and make all efforts to increase the company’s brand awareness and visibility. The Sales Manager will have to deliver performance indicators mentioned in the yearly performance review and target setting meeting.

Key Accountabilities of Sales Manager Finland:

  • The Sales Manager Finland will have to manage and support importers lubricants business growth efforts.
  • Drawing up a business plan for the region of authority in close co-operation with the Business Development manager and the Cluster Manager will be a responsibility of the Sales Manager Finland
  • Identification of new distribution channels will be the responsibility of the Sales Manager Finland
  • The Sales Manager will be in charge of overseeing the development of all business pillars
  • The Sales Manager Finland will have to visit and support existing and potential customers in all market segments, and together with dedicated importers personnel propose actions to increase the company’s share of business
  • It is a requirement that the Sales Manager Finland is attends regular meetings with management and sales reps of dedicated importers, to monitor volume targets/achievements
  • The Sales Manager Finland will have to support the entire sales organization in line with the long-term vision, mission, values and objectives defined by the Global Management as well as supporting development of global strategies, review and advice on policies – pricing, product mix and brand portfolio. Review and monitor sales performance periodically and refine sales strategies as required in discussion within the global line business
  • Preparing and presenting trade offers to the clients, in close cooperation with existing authorized distributors in the region will also be within the Sales Manager Finland job role
  • As Sales Manager Finland it is expected that the candidate will be actively contacting and acquiring clients and building long-term business relationship
  • Sales Manager Finland will have to monitor clients’ orders and control their on-time realization as well as monitoring competition field activities and pricing
  • The Sales Manager Finland will need to be good at problem solving for supply, invoicing and other customer-related issues
  • One of the key roles of the Sales Manager Finland is to provide technical & product support to the clients
  • The Sales Manager Finland will have to cooperate with the OEM’s, associations (motor sport, industrial unions etc.) and the press
  • The Sales Manager Finland will be the representation of the company in local fairs, motor sport events, associations etc…
  • The Sales Manager Finland will have to liaise with corporate functions for projects in the territory as well as provide onsite support to colleagues of corporate functions on an ad hoc basis
  • As Sales Manager Finland the candidate will have to ensure end user visibility of the company’s brand name through providing material, physical and digital to the customers
  • Actively participating in marketing meetings with the customers and HQ marketing personnel, to help design and implement the communications, sponsorships and other marketing activities in the area will also part of the Sales Manager Finland role
  • It will be the Sales Manager Finland’s job to design, implement and oversee any trade promotions
  • The Sales Manager Finland will have to provide the respective reporting on marketing activities as requested from HQs

Qualifications & Education required for Sales Manager Finland:

  • It’s a requirement that the Sales Manager Finland has a Bachelor or Masters’ Degree from University or Business School
  • It is also necessary that the Sales Manager Finland has a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Sales or Key Account Management role, ideally in a lubes or spare parts company
  • The Sales Manager Finland will need to fluent in both Finnish and English
  • IT Knowledge that is required for the Sales Manager Finland role is MS Office applications and CRM platform usage

Skills/Experience/Knowledge preferable for Sales Manager Finland:

  • To be successful in the Sales Manager Finland role the candidate will need certain skills this includes, strategic and innovative mindset, drive for results, customer orientation, transparent communication, business planning, project management, dealing with organization, budget management
  • Any Lubricants technology knowledge or Automotive technology knowledge would be a plus for the Sales Manager Finland job role
