The Vacancy – Sales Manager-Central Western Africa

The Sales Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the organization’s commercial targets in Central & Western African markets are met, mainly through the appointment and management of importers and distributors in new markets. This vacancy will predominately require travelling through Central and West Africa, when you are not travelling you will be home-office based with visits to the main office in Italy. 



Guide and manage distributors and commercial organization for alignment with Sales and Marketing Strategies.

  • Develop key strategies to ensure delivery against business targets, growth and sustainability in the respective region
  • To evaluate and guide distributors to achieve the agreed performance target.
  • Plan and facilitate in-depth technical and sales canvassing for respective distributors.
  • Initiate research on market requirements, distribution channels, and sizing and competitor activities.
  • Act as main point of contact between the distributors/importers and the company, assuring an optimal level of service to the customers
  • Establish a relationship with all automotive and industrial OEMs.

Qualifications & Education

  • Graduated in Economy, International Business or Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification (commerce /business/sales).



  • Five to eight years of work experience in international sales preferably in the automotive or lubes sector and/or in dealing with importers/distributors.
  • Exposure in business development and marketing will be an added advantage.
  • Fluent Knowledge of English and second language
  • Preferred knowledge of lubricants industry (technical knowledge of lubricants products in order to liaise with the customers).
  • Effective project and strategic management, quantitative and environmental scanning skills.
  • Analytical skills to contribute to and decide on pricing and margins.
  • Attention to detail, concern for accuracy, order and meeting tight deadlines, customer service oriented.
