Location: North France

The Position: Sales Engineer

Key Accountabilities:

  • To maintain and expand the sales volume of products and associated services at optimum costs and effectiveness, within the predefined company constraints.
  •  To monitor and assess market trends as they affect the territory and report back to management
  •  To achieve objectives as set in line with the Annual Operating Plan.
  • To ensure, maintain and measure complete customer satisfaction.
  • To exchange relevant information with the other departments to contribute to the overall
  • effectiveness of the company.

Qualification & Education:

  • Higher vocational qualification in Mechanical, Production or Industrial Engineering, Chemistry or Chemical
  • Engineering will also be considered.
  • A qualified engineer and have spent many years in engineering, they should be very confident within all engineering
  • environments, OEM, Tier 1 supply, Precision Engineering, Tube Manipulation etc.
  • Knowledge of decision-making processes within large and small companies will be important.
  • They should be able to take on new challenges and multitask very well.
  • An experienced Salesman and sales hunter is needed for this role.
  • Solution selling experience is also important.
  • Prioritising daily tasks to improve efficiency and achieve results.
  • Integrity when dealing with customers is a requirement.


  • Manufacturing process or production experience gained with an organisation involved in the sales of Metal
  • Working consumables.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing in Automotive, Aerospace, Bearing Industries or similar disciplines
  • Minimum 5 years of selling experience (Business to Business)
  • Proven track record of achievements in the Sales of Industrial consumables.
  • Account Management enabling the candidate to manage their territory
  • Project Management, from initial start to a final successful close.
  • Negotiating / Influencing, overcoming customer objections.
  • Thorough communicator throughout all levels of an organization
  • To have a reasonable skill level with the MS Office software package
  • Clean Driving license
