Location: Paris, France

The Position: Sales Area Manager

The position of Sales Area Manager will be acting as coach and leader for a Sales area or a Sales channel, the candidate will be in charge of driving Sales business improvement initiatives motivating team members with the aim to achieve Business goals and ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities of Sales Area Manager:

  • The Sales Area manager will be accountable for the Area/ Channel Budget definition and set-up, both on the short and long term, with full alignment with the Sales Manager and all the key local Stakeholders being part of the process.
  • It is a responsibility of the Sales Area Manager that all plans and activities related to the customers and managed by Sales representative are implemented:  Orders; contracts; Reporting and Analysis
  • The activation of an effective performance management system to assure a control of the result delivery effectiveness will be within the Sales Area Manager role
  • The Sales Area Manager will be responsible for the individual development plan of every Sales Team Member, intervening primarily on the individual’s gaps and activating the best levers to increase the required professionalism accordingly
  • The Sales Area Manager will need a high commitment for the full respect of the Group Policies, in terms of HSE, Core Values, Business Principles, Code of Conduct, being at mastery level to inspire the Team and driving them on the right behaviors;
  • Manage and ensure the achievement of targets in the area under his/her supervision will be another role of the Sales Area Manager job
  • As well as the other tasks the Sales Area Manager will have to offer daily operational support of the Sales Representative’s;
  • It is expected that the Sales Area Manager will develop both personal learning plan of the Lubricants Market and Sales Team management in the controlled area, as key ingredient to exploit the expected Business Growth in the next years in terms of both Volume and Profitability
  • Being successful in the Sales Area Manager will role will mean that the candidate will be the owner of the creation of a motivated, energized and cohesive Team, where the integration and collaboration are the key ingredients of the Team success
  • With time in the role the candidate will display a proven ability to manage sales area to influence the Business Organization towards the key Priorities

Qualifications & Education required for Sales Area Manager:

  • To be successful in the Sales Area Manager the candidate requires around 6-8 years of sales experience
  • It is important that the Sales Area Manager is fluent in both French and English

Skills/Experience/Knowledge preferable for Sales Area Manager:

  • It is important that the Sales Area Manager has superior negotiation and commination skills
  • Good presentation skills are helpful to the Sales Area Manager candidate
  • The client is looking for a candidate who has Sound Lubricant, or Industrial and/or automotive background to fill the Sales Area Manager position
