Our client is a global technology company, that is dedicated to enabling people to choose their energy future.

Operations Director: You will report to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and you will be based at our HQ in The Netherlands.

  • Manage and implement continuous improvement in our operations.

    You will need experience in 
  • Planning | Manufacturing | Inventory | Project Management | Support Services  | Customer Satisfaction 

Operations Director Europe Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, develop, manage and mentor a high performing Europe Operations team.

  • Execute the strategy provided by the COO and President. 

  • ​Implementation of the company’s product roadmap

  • Developing of culture and environment of holding the team to account and outcomes. 

  • Leadership and management of the Europe business operations, including

    • Coordinate any production that occurs in the Europe Schedule and manages the Europe portion of our client's supply chain, plans and manages the Europe inventory stock and spare parts stock. Assuring the latest Process is in place within the EU Operations and Implement and grow the Europe service network

    • Work with Production, Customer Experience and Engineering teams to establish new policies and procedures in Europe and work to implement a strategy to improve the speed and quality of engineering responses to formal market requirement documents

    • Assist with the preparation of Europe tender and commercial offer documents regarding Operations and Lead and support the implementation and growth of the EU Customer support / Customer experience

Production, Customer Experience and Engineering teams ​

  • Maintain a good technical understanding of our client's products, their architecture, operation and construction.

  • Ensure the Operations Team is aware of and adheres to, all of our client's policies and procedures, with a particular focus on workplace health and safety policies and procedures.

  • Increase the levels of customer satisfaction, by close and regular contact and attention to customer requirements and needs.

  • Secure the interrelationship with Customer Satisfaction team in what regards to Accounts issues

  • Maintain an ongoing awareness and update the COO and President Europe regarding any issues with Operations.

  • Work close with Product Development, Engineering, SW, on what are new requirements from to be assigned or in use in EU

  • Report customer feedback to the global organization, Business Development, Production, Quality, Customer Experience, Engineer, etc. and follow up that account request are fulfilled in the due and timely manner


  • Track company financial performance in Operations using the P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts supported by Finance

  • Daily finance and budgeting responsibility for our clients Operations Cost Centers.

  • Working closely with our client's finance team to continuously improve the financial performance of the Operations EU


  • Work with HR on the Resource planning activities as well on the required business cases and job descriptions for each role

  • Work to achieve the KPIs set in the annual performance review.

  • Attend and actively participate in meetings as required. You will need to be able to provide relevant technical information, including relevant standards, identified issues, design constraints and design opportunities. 

Qualifications & Experience

  • University degree in one of the following: Engineering, Marketing, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain management

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in international operations/business/logistics management

  • Fluent in English (other languages are an asset)

  • Strong people management and leadership skills

  • Strong communication skills in a multicultural environment
