The Position: Maintenance Technician

Key Accountabilities of Maintenance Technician:

  • Implementation of periodic and preventive maintenance of the installations
  • Preparing, checking and supervising larger and/or smaller maintenance work
  • Monitoring the interfaces with the other services and ensure clear communication 
  • Responsible for resolving malfunctions based on a received report or with your own observations
  • In the event of various disruptions, it is important that the Maintenance Technician is able to set priorities so that the limitation of the installation is minimal
  • Flexible and willing to participate in the waiting system

Qualifications & Education required for Maintenance Technician:

  • It is a requirement that the Maintenance Technician has a minimum of 3 years’ work experience in maintenance service at the (petro) chemical industry
  • Safety-conscious

Skills/Experience/Knowledge preferable for Maintenance Technician:

  • Effective verbal communication and is able to communicate with people from different backgrounds within the organization
  • Ideally, the client is looking for someone who is a team player, to fill the Maintenance Technician role. This will include working according to maintenance planning and sometimes under time pressure, this requires a correct attitude to be able to work in a team context
  • The most suitable candidate for the Maintenance Technician role will be analytical and work step by step and logically in the event of malfunctions or work
