This position is being offered by VALREA, a subsidiary of the VALOREM Group specializes in the construction of wind, photovoltaic and hydroelectric parks.

VALOREM is a vertically integrated green energy operator (226 people and 5 subsidiaries), offering a range of renewable energy solutions while guiding and supporting local authorities and its partners at every stage of a project: surveys, development, financing, construction, operational oversight and maintenance. Its headquarters and principal entities are in Bègles, France.



The International Construction Project Manager will manage construction projects for renewable energy parks internationally. The ICPM is responsible for the design, preparation and monitoring in compliance with the commitments of cost, deadlines, quality, safety and the environment made by VALREA.

The position will ideally be located at the company HQ in Bègles, Bordeaux, France, however, VALREA will also consider remote home office-based candidates.

In addition, this position will require international travel, with a specific focus on Finland, France, the U.K and across Northern Europe.



  • In close collaboration with your team, you take into account the challenges and constraints and ensure the technical and organizational feasibility of the project. You establish an estimate of the budgetary and planning objectives of the project and submit it to your Direction for validation.
  • You identify the different phases and additional studies necessary to carry out the project in collaboration with support resources (internal or external).
  • For external resource interventions, you write the specifications, consult the service providers and subcontractors, evaluate the proposals and confirm your choice according to the procedure in force. You write the work contracts.
  • As a project manager, you structure, organize and implement the project management tools: planning, budget management, project dashboard.
  • In close collaboration with the site supervisor, you make sure that the project is progressing well on the technical, environmental, regulatory and safety, as well as economic and deadlines schedule.
  • You intervene for any identified hazard, technical problem or progress of the project and the budget. You provide solutions adapted to the situations encountered.
  • You ensure the contractual and regulatory compliance of studies, works, quality plans and documents produced.
  • Throughout the project, you ensure functional authority over any external stakeholder. You direct, negotiate and validate the work.



  • A relevant qualification in Engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in international construction project management in Wind and/or Solar PV renewable energy projects.
  • Knowledge of Civil Engineering, electricity, automation, mechanics, as well as the sense of the result and strong environmental sensitivity.
  • Strong leadership skills, a demonstrated ability to work with others and to unite teams around a project. Understand the necessary steps to lead on time, long and complex projects.


Language: A high level of spoken French is required, as well as fluency in English.
