Location: Poland

The Position: General Sales Manager, Eastern Europe. The General Sales Manager is responsible for providing oversight and direction to their assigned Sales Area Managers and will work closely with them to expand the client base for their assigned territories.  

Key Accountabilities of General Sales Manager: 

  • Manage and develop direct reports through coaching and training, and ensure they execute their responsibilities in a safe and ethical manner
  • Develops and manages through key metrics that give an accurate picture of sales goals and of progress toward them
  • Develop strategies focused on expanding the client base for assigned region / Sales Area Managers.
  • Conduct business reviews and account development activities with Sales Area Managers.
  • Drive cross-fertilization of sales successes and commercialization of new products
  • Analyze sales processes and develop improvements in sales productivity
  • If required, attend sales calls with direct reports.
  • Control pricing and focus sales on high-value segments
  • Establish and refine sales strategies, plans and forecasts with emphasis on developing and tracking accurate metrics to monitor progress.
  • Strictly manage and meet sales and expense budgets
  • In conjunction with marketing, develop appropriate roll-out strategies for new products and develop and implement counter competitive strategies
  • Represents the company as appropriate at conferences and trade shows
  • Mentors motivate, and coaches staff to improve their selling techniques

Qualifications & Education required for General Sales Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7 - 10 Years of successful B2B sales experience
  • 3 years of sales management experience
  • Experience in Chemical Industry preferred

Travel Requirements

  • Dependent (potentially between 50-60%)
