Our client, Neoen, is a world-leading international IPP (Independent Power Provider) within the Renewable Energy sector. With a current capacity of almost 2 GW already in operation or under construction, and a further 1 GW of projects formally awarded and secured, they have doubled its size in over just 24 months. Within Finland, Neoen currently has 81Gw secured and under construction, with big plans for the short-term future.

 

THE POSITION – Development Project Manager

Our client is expanding and as such require an experienced Development Project Manager to join their Finnish office in Helsinki. As the Development Project Manager, you will be responsible for the Development of a Portfolio of Wind Power Projects within Finland, from identifying the site to securing the land and the permits until construction starts.

 

Responsibilities for Development Project Manager include:

  • Identify new greenfield opportunities for wind power projects
  • Development of several wind power projects, securing land lease agreements, consultation with various local stakeholders; controlling the development of projects in all the aspects
    • Monitoring studies;
    • Coordination of all the parties involved in the projects (consultants, advisors, local authorities, grid companies, suppliers, etc.);
    • Applying for necessary permits.
  • Leading the submission of offers in the case of public or private tenders
  • Support the Construction and Asset management teams during the initial phases of the performance of the services.
  • With the support of the team, manage all administrative aspects related to the company’s presence in Finland

 

Background & Requirements for Development Project Manager;

  • Master’s degree in engineering or business administration, with specialisation in renewable energy, environment or project management;
  • 2 to 5 years’ of work experience in similar tasks;
  • Strong motivation to work in a complex environment; you are organized, open-minded and able to work independently; you are capable of working on several projects in parallel;
  • Solid analytical skills, strong adaptability, efficiency;
  • Social skills, excellent oral and written expression;
  • Fluent in Finnish and English, Swedish is an asset;
  • Integrity, ethical standards and sound judgement
  • Leadership and team-spirited
  • Intellectual curiosity, passion and self-motivation
  • Driving license (you are expected to travel).
