THE POSITION

The HSE Manager will be the officially appointed expert for the Branch Health, Safety and Environmental topics (HSE) and the contact person for all HSE issues in the scope of PM.

This position will be ideally located at Enercon’s Espoo office and will be responsible for Finland. In addition, from time to time the HSE Manager may also support in other regions such as Sweden, Norway, and the United Kingdom.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and fulfilment of statutory obligations, completion & updating of HSE Plan
  • Coordination and performance assessment of external HSE professionals working on behalf of PM
  • Engage in projects to solve complex problems and attend meetings with (key) customers if requested
  • Supporting Sales and PM in tender management for HSE requirements
  • Supervision of the implementation of Enercon HSE processes in all projects in the country
  • Support, training, and provision of guidelines to the employees of the Branch, PM team and external HSE consultancies working on behalf of PM
  • Performance of audits and tracking the status of implementation of HSE-standards in the Projects
  • Adaption of global ENERCON HSE rules to local standards and creation and maintenance of an HSE management system for the country and projects
     

BACKGROUND & REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in an engineering or technical discipline (University / University of Applied Sciences)
  • A recognized qualification in health, safety, and environment
  • Minimum of 2 years of HSE experience, preferably in the construction business, including managing at site-specific level or managing multiple projects
  • Comprehensive knowledge of MS-Office
  • Well-developed leadership skills, able to work autonomously or collaboratively with strict confidentiality
  • Able to work in a changing and rapidly developing environment and identify issues
  • Take responsibility and implement solutions,
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively
  • Trustworthy with unquestionable integrity and ethical standards, analytical thinking, and "hands-on" mentality
  • Excellent command of the English language, additional foreign languages including Finnish or Swedish would beneficial
