Our client is a scale-up electricity and gas supplier in Great Britain, having enjoyed huge success in its first 3 and a half years of existence and now supplies over 1.3million households and businesses across the UK. Our client is also part of a group who are the UK’s largest investor in solar farms and the third-largest investor in renewable generation overall.

Location: Soho, London

The Position: Commercial Manager

As the Commercial Manager, you will work closely with the Head of SME, taking the lead on creating and delivering an ambitious business growth strategy. This is a broad role that will require you to get to grips with the whole lifecycle of sales and acquisition within the company – from strategic planning & commercial decision making to technical integration & on-boarding, including pricing, retention and reporting elements too.

Key Accountabilities of Commercial Manager:

  • As Commercial Manager the candidate will take the lead on creating and implementing the growth strategy in order to help the company reach their ambitious targets
  • The Commercial Manager candidate will help maintain and develop the commercial relationships with existing sales partners
  • The role of Commercial Manager will require the candidate to also be establishing new partner relationships and exploring & trialing new channels for growth
  • Reporting internally on the performance of each channel, and suggesting changes and improvements will be a key role of the Commercial Manager
  • As a rapidly scaling company, the Commercial Manager have the chance to make your mark on OEB and help challenge existing energy industry dynamics

Qualifications & Education required for Commercial Manager:

  • The Commercial Manager must hold a Bachelors degree from a top 30 University, in any subject
  • It is a requirement that the Commercial Manager will also have at least 18 months employment in a client-facing / commercial role
